Android 2.2 on PC
Android is a Operating System for Mobile which is based on the modified version of Linux Kernal. Initially released on October 2008.
It’s been few weeks since I got my first Android Phone. (HTC Desire HD), which I liked very much, including the OS. Desire HD comes with Android 2.2.
Since I saw a Netbook with Android, I wanted to try out Android on PC, Virtually. I was able to grab a generic release from Android x86. There are also special versions for ASUS EE PC and other Netbooks. There are Acer Netbooks which comes with Android as well, I’ve seen some from Acer Aspire One Series.
I tried Android x86 2.2 on a Windows Platform with VMWare. The following are some of the screenshots from my experiment. It’s fun and worth trying, If you are a geek.

IBM’s Watson supercomputer, which is powered by 90 servers and a network-attached storage (NAS) cluster with 21.6TB of Data.
Building Watson involved integrating custom algorithms, terabytes of storage and thousands of POWER7 computing cores into an optimized solution greater than the sum of its parts.
“Watson” is the combination of speech recognition, large data analytics, super computing, all coming together in this time.

The Gallery Dress by the CuteCircuit, which is currently in the display of FastForward Gallery at Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
The dress features, 24,000 smallest full-color LEDs, flat like paper and measuring only by 2mm.
“The circuits are extra-thin, flexible, and hand embroidered on a layer of silk in a way that gives it stretch so the LED fabric can move like normal fabric with lightness and fluidity.”
Seriously… Wtf….?
Ok. Here is the thing. I’m a Diploma in IT Student and in this semester I came across a subject called “Structured Programming in C” which is killing my head today. I have to submit the assignment with the programs complied and the problem is the software which we use at College is not working on my pc at home due to a OS Conflict. I have Windows 7 (x64) on my PC and Windows XP (x86) on College’s Station.
The lecturer couldn’t provide a IDE which runs on Windows 7 64-Bit, so why don’t they remove it from Syllabus
I can’t format and Install Windows XP to my system for an assignment. :/
Also in last semester I had to study a subject called “Fundamentals of Programming” in which I had to deal with QBASIC Programming. I faced a similar problem but lucky was able to find a solution for it. Seriously :S whats the use of those?
I found a IDE called Dev C++ which is not really helping me. UPDATE THE SYLLABUS CRAPPY MALDIVIAN COLLEGES :@
